If you’ve said 1980 and 1993, you’re right! Who would have thought those songs were released 13 years apart? AND…
13 years is also the difference between the average age of the Men’s Cs v. average age of Men’s Ds. 36 and 23. If we took the youngest and oldest starting 11s those numbers would be even further apart; 40 v. 21! (Let’s not dwell on numbers, MTRPermitgate still haunts me… )
Sunday 11th September sees the above-mentioned teams battle it out in the first HKFC derby of the season. Self-nicknamed “The Management” Men’s Cs take on the Club whippersnapper D team at 13:30, at HKFC.
The Ds are already ahead in the table, after beating Dutch A 2-1 last weekend, whilst the Cs managed to throw away a 3-0 lead to end with a 3-3 draw against Aquila A.
It was a 1-1 draw when the two teams met in pre-season… can Ds captain Gwen Laot harness what he learnt on tour in Perth this summer and lead the Ds to victory over Anthony Ford’s once-upon-a-times? Or is there life in the old dogs yet?
