Womens G 0 - 0 Phoenix A

HKFC Gs Vs Phoenix As – 12/11/2011

The G team took off to Boundary Street to take on Pheonix As.

The team were playing against the odds, away and no coach but were very ready to take to the pitch.

The first half started with Phoenix looking the stronger team.  They dominated the mid field for the first half of the game pushing our solid defence.  As the half continued the G team cam into their own and started to put into practice what they had been learning in training.  Using the wings and spreading out on the field the girls managed to finish the half looking the stronger team.

The second half started very differently with the G team being the dominant players.  Ash proved that she is still as strong up in front and had a couple of good shots on goal.  Our defence were amazing and tackled everything with solid determination.  A special mention to Karen (MVP) and Sophie who worked their socks off throughout the match.

Even though the score remained 0:0 the G team were quite right to celebrate on the coach ride home, as they were the superior team!
