HKFC E v Police

 

A good win by Dino’s against a Police team that we lost to at the beginning of the season and always have difficulty getting numbers out against. This time we were out in typical Dino strength having had our belated Xmas dinner and Carols birthday celebration the night before. Great social warm-up for the game at Dot Cod and the Captains Bar.

 

The Police found it difficult to get through the middle of the pitch with our new central line-up of Mel and virgin Dino Bex. Stunning combination. With our strength in numbers the formidable forward line of Sandy, Vangie, Di, Carol and Lucy maintained pressure on the Police goal. However the break through came with a short corner converted by Vangie after a cannon ball shot that left the Police goalie wondering where the draft had come from. The midfield also featured Paula, Hez, Liz, and Lisa who ably saturated most of the Police attacks and set up Vangie for her individual second half goal. The Police players that did get through were destroyed by Cath, Brenda, Su, Pat and Jess with Su quite frequently heard shouting two of you block number 65. Anyway 65 did not get through so that was a good strategy!
