HKFC Youth Hockey

HKFC Youth Hockey welcomes boys and girls from the age of 12 to 18. The primary objectives of the Youth Hockey section are to to provide children with a fun and enjoyable experience while learning and improving their skills for the game.  HKFC Youth Hockey is open for both HKFC members and non-members and is the bridge from Mini to Senior Hockey within HKFC.  It aims to develop increased fitness and skill levels from those started at Mini Hockey.

HKFC provides coaching which caters for all levels of ability and combines the services of the Hockey Section appointed professional coaches, as well as a number of parent volunteer coaches.

HKFC has been involved in the creation and development of a Youth Hockey League in Hong Kong targeted at schools and this year aims to enter its own HKFC Youth Hockey Team to compete in this league.

HKFC Youth Hockey will be working increasingly closely with both the Mini and Senior divisions of the Hockey Section to grow this important segment in the club

There are two age groups within Youth Hockey being:

Under 16 - for children aged 12 to 16

Under 18 - for children aged 16 and 17

Training for the U16 age group will start on Friday 3rd September and run every Friday from 5pm to 7pm.

Training for the U8 age group will start on Monday 30th August and run every Monday from 6pm to 8pm.

All training will be on the HKFC Hockey Astro Pitch.

Mouthguards and shinpads are mandatory for participation in HKFC Youth Hockey.

Fees for the 2010/ 2011 Season excluding kit are for HKFC Members and for Non-Members and may be obtained by emailing youth@HKFChockey.com
