Kate Richardson-Walsh, GB and England Women's Hockey Captain will be droppping by the Club this week:

The longest serving player in the GB team with over 300 international caps, 'Captain Kate' is now in her 13th year of her international career. Kate led the England side to a Silver Medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last month. At the London Olympics in 2012 she won a Bronze Medal for GB, and she also captained the GB side to its best ever World Cup result, the Bronze Medal, in Rosario in 2010. Kate has been GB and England Captain since 2003

Tuesday 23 September - 7.00pm - 8.30pm - Women's ABCD teams + post-training dinner with squads 

All Section members are welcome to attend the above session and/or dinner to watch Kate in action, take photos, see her medals, and to ask her questions about her playing career.

HKFC HOCKEY

The Hockey Section has over 300 Members who are registered with the Hong Kong Hockey Association. From this membership the Section fields a total of 15 teams, including eight men’s teams and seven women’s teams, which compete in the Hong Kong League system and a number of knockout cup competitions. In addition to the serious competitive sporting activities of the Section, it also boasts a very active social scene with regular parties, dinners, a Christmas Party, and formal end-of-Season Ball.

Allied to the Hockey Section there is a very active Junior Hockey Section which attracts Members and Non-Members’ children to learn the game of hockey from as young as six years old. The Junior Hockey Section participates on a regular basis with weekly training sessions. It competes in various age groups at Mini and Youth Hockey tournaments, and hosts one of the largest Mini Hockey Festivals in Hong Kong. The Youth and Mini teams have also established an annual tour to Singapore where they compete in the Asia Pacific Cup. The tour has become a highlight on the annual calendar.
